Life with a Linux Laptop (4)
This week is frightfully busy. I'm working on a major project for a client abroad, and it's currently in hot water. I haven't had time to scratch, let alone to write blog posts. Long days, short nights, lots of stress.
So here's a quickie. :-)
In earlier posts I wrote about my life with a Linux laptop. After I wrote about Wine in part 3, I intended to follow up with VirtualBox and XP, which basically lets you run a full-blown XP installation in a virtual machine on top of Ubuntu Linux, for those applications that won't run in Wine and that you just cannot do without, and with seamless windows to boot.
Fortunately LifeHacker saved me the trouble with this excellent article. Read and rejoice. :-)
(And there's an update for VirtualBox, too!)
